SHOE ADDICTION & FAST FROM SHOPPING

Hello My Gorgeous Divas,

Hi, my name is Tiffany and I am clearance sale shopaholic.

The first step to recognizing your addiction is admitting it right? So, there I have admitted it I love to shop but, most importantly I love to shop at the clearance rack.

The feeling I get when I catch a good deal or something I have been eyeing for a minute and the price has been slashed is euphoric literally. My latest obsession has been shoes. Within the last two weeks I have brought six pair of shoes that cost no more than $25. I wear a size 11 which means when I see a pair of “bad” shoes in my size I automatically pick them up because nine times out of ten they will not be there for long. Most of the shoes I have purchased within the last two weeks were brought from my local "little city" shoe outlet. (Can you believe it?) From Calvin Klein to Madden Girl their selection of size 11 shoes have been on point lately. You would think six pair of shoes would be enough right? Nope…

I recently returned some shoes from DSW that I had purchased but could not fit. My intentions were to return the shoes and to not pick up anything due to the fact I had already went overboard with my shoe purchases. As I was turning around to walk out the door I saw that dang clearance sign. I swear it was calling my name saying Tiffany come back here we got something for you. My weak azz went back there and low & behold they had some beautiful shoes on clearance. As I tried on each pair I was saying my ohh’s& ahh’s out loud as I usually do when I try on something I like. I tried on at least five pair of shoes and decided I didn’t need another pair and started to place all the shoes back on the racks when I came across a pair of size 11 Nine West Floral Prink low heel shoe. I tried it on and it seems like a light from above was shining down on my feet with that shoe on. Dramatic I know but, that is how I felt at the time. On top of that the shoe was 40% and I had a $5.00 coupon with it. Needless to say I purchased the shoe for $26.00. Which caused me to purchase some other items in the mall as well. Sad but, true.

I decided to fast from shopping for the entire month of April. Yes, a month. I will be shopping my closet and not buying one single thing for myself at all. The funny thing is I went online yesterday to look up some bathing suits for the summer and I saw several different pieces that I wanted to purchase so bad. In order for me to survive I know I will have to limit my internet browsing for clothes. Geesh!!

Wish me luck you guy!!
I started on April 1st and today marks the first week of my fast from shopping.
Do you have a shopping addiction? Have you ever went on a shopping fast?

Below are pictures of the shoes I have purchased within the last two weeks...

  1. I have this issue too! I've been trying to put myself on "shopping hiatus" since Jan 1. Sadly, havent' been successful yet but I'm gonna keep trying! Those black 9 west shoes - TDF! I would have had to get those too, I'm just sayin'. I'm trying to shop in my closet and just pulled out all my summer clothese, maybe that will help? Love your blog!

  2. Thank you so much for "loving" the blog. You're actually the first person that has made a comment so that has made me super excited LOL!! It has been so hard for me not to buy anything and it has only been one week. Hopefully I will manage **Pray 4 Me**
