THE HAMPTONS

Hello My Gorgeous Divas,

I hope you all had a fun & relaxing weekend.

My weekend was very eventful and fun. I enjoyed spending much needed quality time with my daughters Essence & Serenity. The weather this weekend in Georgia was very cool and brisk which was good for my allergies but, I am so tired of the cooler weather. My daughters and I spent the weekend in a “little city” called Newnan, GA. It is about 40 minutes away from me so I decided that we would make it an overnight stay.

The eventful part of my weekend experience was at the hotel I booked for our one day overnight stay. I am somewhat of a fan of the Hamptons Inns & Suites chains. I have stayed in quite a few Hamptons and I have had good experiences there but, this particular one was the worst experiences I’ve had at any hotel. I arrived at the hotel about 10 minutes before check in which was at 3:00 pm. I walked to the front counter was greeted by a young lady and was told that my room was not ready yet and they were in the process of cleaning it for our arrival.

I was okay with that because she stated it would only be a couple of minutes. There were other people waiting in the lobby as well for their rooms to be cleaned. As I continued to wait, the lady at the front counter never apologized for the inconvenience, nor did she update me on the status of how much  longer it would be before the room would be cleaned. Instead,  she began talking to her co –worker about a dream she had about him. After 40 minutes of waiting, with no update, I walked up to the counter and asked her how much longer it would be before the room was finished?

She looked at me and said, “ I don’t know.”  She then went into this story of how they had a full house the night before and some people were just leaving yada, yada, yada. I did not want to hear about what happened before I arrived there, I did not care what happened before I arrived I just wanted to know the update of what was happening now that I was there.

She then suggested that I leave and come back. I looked at her in disbelief and politely told her to cancel my reservation. I took the general manager and guest service manager’s business cards and walked out ! She was unprofessional, rude, and inconsiderate of my time and my patience. I wasn’t going to let one ignorant person ruin my quality time with my girls. I did find another hotel that was very accommodating and we continue on with our girl’s weekend.

Have you ever had a bad experience at a hotel?  If so, how did you handle it?

My girls and I had a great time bowling, going out to eat and just being together. We were all in our fashionable mode yet we kept it casual….

We love to throw up the "DUECES"!!!

Serenity can bowl....Essence not so so much.
